Nothing more than feelings....
I am feeling overwhelmed, excited, frustrated, anxious, and intimidated all at the same time with all this new technology stuff I am learning. I am finding Google Maps to be very frustrating. I am hoping to work the kinks. Prezi looks pretty neat. I have checked out the tutorials, now I have to prepare for the real thing. I am hoping that I can get "the hang of it" so that I can use it effectively with my group as well as with other ideas I have for the classroom. I know that the more I "play around" with the new programs the more comfortable I will be with them and the more I can do with them. I am really excited to continue to explore all the new, FREE sites that I have recently been made aware of.

I am with you Renee..Very overwhelming, yet so much good information to try to use within our own classrooms. Prezi is pretty neat. I played around w/ it as well. Im sure there is more to learn...
ReplyDeleteWhat ideas do you have for using Prezi in class? I like how it displays information - very similar to how many students are used to reading information from their IPods, phones, etc! Let me know.
ReplyDeleteEmily, so far I am thinking I could use Prezi to introduce a new unit. I really need to think outside the box on this one since I teach the little kids and the way information is so new to me. I am with you, I really like the way information is displayed. I think it is a good way to keep students interested in what is going on.
ReplyDeleteGlad to read that class is a little overwhelming. If it wasn't, I would worry that you weren't paying attention. Pick a few things from class and roll with them... you'll do some great things.
